Where to buy gas.

I received this from my parents as an email chain letter and I haven't researched to make sure it's accurate, but for those of you who still drive (they still drive in the Midwest, don't they?) keep this in mind.

OIL COMPANIES AND THEIR ANNUAL IMPORTS FROM THE MIDDLE EAST

Shell............................. 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco......... 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil............... 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway... 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco............................62,231,000 barrels

If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! And we all know that oil is waaaaaay beyond $30/barrel right now.

Here are some large companies that supposedly do not import Middle Eastern oil:
Citgo.......................0 barrels
Sunoco...................0 barrels
Conoco...................0 barrels
Sinclair....................0 barrels
BP/Phillips..............0 barrels
Hess........................0 barrels
ARC0..................0 barrels

Although I haven't checked it myself yet, apparently all of this information is available from the Department of Energy as each company is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.
